Kathy Afzali’s successful 2010 campaign to represent Maryland District 4A in the State Legislature sends a message to all of us. We can do it, we can run for elective office with no establishment backing, promote conservative values with just old fashioned hard work and get-up-and-go, and win! That is the message newly elected State Delegate Kathy Afzali will be sending to participants at our January 8th conference.
Former Broadway actress turned businesswoman Kathy Afzali is honored to be elected Maryland State Delegate, District 4A. From her early life as an actress and producer, to her current work as President of Access KDM Consulting, Kathy’s commitment to family, community, and faith are qualities essential for 21st century leadership.
Kathy is a dynamic leader with an extensive history of success in Real Estate Investment & Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Devices industries. Her company, Access KDM, generated profitable revenue streams while opening new markets, introducing new product offerings, and enabling businesses with little to no presence to gain a competitive advantage and market share.
A graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University (Cum Laude-Business), Kathy’s real estate, business, and volunteering experience expands over 30 years.
Her venture into politics was set in motion from her popular column that appeared in the Frederick News Post and from numerous appearances on local political television, Cable TV’s “Pressing Issues.”
Kathy lives in Middletown with her husband, David, two daughters, Mary-Kate and Annabelle, and dog Lester. She is unapologetically conservative and a proud soccer mom.
